Selecting the right ticket for your stay at Walt Disney
World can seem quite
daunting at first, but the more you know, the easier it is
to select. The more you play, the cheaper the cost per day
becomes.
I will attempt to give you my Disney World Ticket
Purchase Lesson 101 so here are the essential things to
understand before you proceed:
A Magic Your Way Base Ticket provides entry to one
Theme Park per day for the number of days you purchase. The
ticket expires 14 days from the first day of use. You can
purchase between 1 and 10 days of fun for adults (ages 10+)
or children (ages 3-9). Infants 2 or younger are free.
No Expiration option eliminates the '14 days from
first use' expiry date and makes the ticket usable for the
number of days you purchase, regardless of when it is used.
For example, if you use 4 days of a 7 day ticket, you could
come back in three years and use the remaining 3 days.
I'm not completely sold on this option unless you know two
definite things; 1) You will definitely be returning to Walt
Disney World in the future 2)You will be able to completely
use (but not overuse) the ticket in your two separate
visits.
Park Hopper Option permits you to come and go through
multiple Theme Parks on the same day as many times as you
like. I like this option because it allows you to visit
one park in the morning, then hop to another one for lunch
and then maybe a third one for dinner while still visiting
the fourth one for a night time extravaganza, or maybe to
enjoy Extended Magic Hours (you must be a guest of a Disney
Resort to attend Extended Magic Hours).
Water Park Fun & More Option enables you to visit
other venues at the Walt Disney World® Resort:
Select from two water parks (Typhoon Lagoon and
Blizzard Beach), DisneyQuest Indoor Interactive Theme
Park, a wide variety of unique clubs at Pleasure Island,
or Disney's Wide World of Sports Complex. The number of
admissions depends on the number of days of the ticket
you purchase. If you're a water park fanatic like me,
and you're staying long enough to enjoy a visit or two
to the water parks, then this option is for you.
